DevSecOps in a hybrid multi-cloud world
As adoption of cloud has evolved over the past few years, an obvious realization regarding the need for a different set of engineering practices and measures has also manifested. A set of practices, processes, tools and measures that meaningfully addresses the challenges in a hybrid multi-cloud environment, that brings the “old”and the “new”together seamlessly, and one where a “new way of working”can be successful –is how we view DevSecOps at IBM. This involves aspects of people, process and technology –each having their own transformation path to get to a degree of maturity to reap the benefits of a hybrid multi-cloud world.Join us for a discussion on the challenges, opportunities, best practices and real life client stories on DevSecOps adoption.
Common tooling approaches from Kubernetes to the Mainframe
Standard DevOps tooling for many applications has its advantages. There's less to maintain, reporting is easier, and employees are more productive as they change teams within the enterprise. We find that standardization makes the most sense in areas that are fairly consistent across platforms, where multiple platforms are often touched at once, and where you have "sources of truth". Join IBM for a discussion of where standardization makes sense and a quick look at some of its leading tools in continuous delivery and testing.
The Modern DevOps Manifesto
Cloud native applications are viewed as collections of microservices that deploy at various speeds, independently of each other. The number of moving parts, amplifies the challenge of manually deploying cloud native apps, quickly rendering it an unsustainable effort. Conversely, a huge benefit of DevOps for cloud native is the opportunity to view "everything as code"...not just the cloud native app, but the full stack configuration of platform and infrastructure that apps run on. Come hear about the "Modern DevOps Manifesto" and how DevOps is not just for apps and Dev teams anymore!
Application Modernization enabling Hybrid Cloud with IBM Z
In response to today's business requirements of growth and innovation, enterprises must deliver new applications in an agile fashion while minimizing risk. Many have turned to a hybrid or multicloud strategy where choice and flexibility are foundational. IBM Z, which continues to power 72% of enterprise core business transactions and data, must be included in any hybrid cloud strategy as it provides all essential components in this multidimensional choice. How do you accelerate your organization’s Digital Transformation required to meet the opportunities and disruptions facing your market? Organizations that have modernized their traditional applications deliver these benefits and are driving tangible business results.
